Spicy sugared nuts

Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ginger
  • 1/8 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/8 tsp all spice
  • dash salt
  • 1 1/2 cup pecans

Directions:

  1. )In medium sauce pan,combine syrup and sugar.2)Bring to boiling over medium heat,stirring until sugar is dissolved.3)Using a candy thermometer cook syrup with out stirring until temperature reaches 236`f or the soft ball stage.4)Remove from heat.5)Add butter,spices and salt.6)Stir in nuts,then beat with spoon until syrup begins to thicken,and becomes slightly creamly in color.7)Spread on wax paper,separating nuts with a fork.80Cool,then store in airtight containers.
