  1. Combine soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, garlic, ginger, jalapeno, scallions together in a glass bowl. Add shrimp and stir well. Cover and marinate for up to an hour.
  2. Pre-soak bamboo skewers in cold water. Preheat broiler or grill. Thread marinated shrimp on to skewers?4 or 5 per skewer, and broil or grill for 4-5 minutes, turning once. Serve as an appetizer or as an entree with whole grain rice and steamed vegetables.
