Spiced  Pear Sorbet

Ingredients:

  • 8 medium pears , about 2 lb
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 6 pieces cloves
  • 6 pieces allspice

Directions:

  1. In a saucepan, combine the pears, water, and sugar and spices.
  2. Cook and stir occasionally over medium heat for about 15-20 minutes or until pears are soft.
  3. Chill in refrigerator until completely cold.
  4. Puree through a sieve, blender or food processer.
  5. Process in ice cream machine according to manufacturers instructions.
