Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. ********CAKE********
  2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  3. Grease & flour pans.
  4. Use 2 deep (8 ) pans for high layers, or 2(9 ) pans for thinner layers.
  5. Cream shortening and sugar.
  6. Blend in well beaten eggs
  7. Sift all dry ingredients together; add alternately with buttermilk.
  8. Blend in flavorings and nuts
  9. Pour into greased & floured pans.
  10. Bake for 30-45 minutes or until cake tests done
  11. ******MOCHA ICING******
  12. Cream butter, blend in egg yolk.
  13. Sift sugar, cocoa and cinnamon and add to the creamed mixture alternately with hot coffee.
  14. Beat until smooth.
