Spanish Rice With Beef

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Heat oven to 350°F.
  2. Heat oil in skillet.
  3. Add garlic & celery, brown stirring constantly.
  4. Mix rice, tomatoes, tomato paste, salt, bay leaf and cayenne with hot water.
  5. Add to garlic & celery in skillet.
  6. Stir well & cover. Bring to boil, reduce heat & simmer 10 minutes.
  7. Brown beef & green pepper.
  8. Remove from heat and drain. Stir in chili powder, sugar, & beef bouillon.
  9. Combine rice & meat mixture in 3-qt baking dish.
  10. Bake at 350°F for 35 minutes.
  11. (Add water or tomato juice if necessary, stir occasionally).
