Southern-Style Stuffed Bell Peppers

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Heat oven to 375°F.
  2. Grease a 2-quart baking dish.
  3. Slice tops off of peppers and remove seeds and membranes.
  4. Blanch peppers in boiling water if desired.
  5. Set peppers in prepared dish.
  6. Cook sausage and garlic powder until sausage is browned.
  7. Drain.
  8. In medium bowl, stir together half of the French onions.
  9. Add rest of ingredients, mix well.
  10. Evenly spoon mixture into peppers.
  11. Cover with foil.
  12. Bake for 20 minutes or until peppers are tender and filling is hot.
  13. Remove cover; top with remaining onions and bake 10 minutes more.
