Ingredients:

  • crust
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped pecans
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • topping
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 cup finely chopped pecans (chopping them finely will allow you to cut them into bars easier)

Directions:

  1. In a large bowl, combine all crust ingredients; mix on low speed until crumbly.
  2. Press crust into an ungreased 9x13 pan.
  3. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes; remove pan from oven.
  4. Combine topping ingredients, except pecans; beat on medium speed until well blended.
  5. Pour topping over hot crust; sprinkle with pecans.
  6. Bake an additional 20 to 25 minutes, until golden brown.
  7. Cool completely before cutting into bars.
