Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Line a 9x13 pan with foil, grease.
  3. In a large bowl, stir together the flour, 1/3 cup sugar, and salt.
  4. Cut in 2/3 cup of butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle the mixture evenly over the prepared pan, and press in firmly.
  5. Bake for 20 minutes in the preheated oven.
  6. While the crust is baking, prepare the filling. In a large bowl mix together the eggs, corn syrup, 1 cup total brown & white sugars, 2 tablespoons melted butter, and vanilla until smooth.
  7. Stir in the pecans. Spread the filling evenly over the crust as soon as it comes out of the oven.
  8. Bake for 25 minutes in the preheated oven, or until set.
  9. Allow to cool completely on a wire rack before slicing into bars.
  10. *Note- After these cooled on a rack for about 3 hours, I put them in the freezer for 30 minutes. This made the cutting process super easy.
