Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of chopped onion
  • 2 cloves of garlic minced
  • 1/4 tsp of salt
  • 1/4 tsp of pepper
  • 1/4 tsp of cumin
  • 1 can of tomato sauce (15 oz.)
  • 1/3 cup of water
  • 1/2 cup of ketchup
  • 1 tbsp of cider vinegar

Directions:

  1. In a large frying pan over medium heat, cook the ground beef, breaking up the large pieces with a wooden spoon.
  2. Add the onion, garlic, salt, pepper and cumin.
  3. Cook about 10 minutes.
  4. Drain off any grease, or scoop out with a spoon.
  5. Add the tomato sauce and water.
  6. Turn the heat to low and simmer uncovered another ten minutes, stirring occasionally to keep from sticking. You may need to add a touch more water at this point.
  7. Add the ketchup, worchestershire, and vinegar, stir constantly cooking until the mixture is thick but not dry.
  8. Spoon mixture over warmed buns.
