Ingredients:

  • 5 cups rolled oats (bob's red mills whole grain , part of a 2lb bag)
  • 5 cups water
  • 1 cup dried apple , bits
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

Directions:

  1. 1/2 cup dry per adult appetite – so we used 5 cups of dry rolled oats. It was soaked with the same amount (5 cups) of water overnight in the cooking pot. The next morning more water was added so it wouldn’t stick when cooking and only needed about 5 minutes of cooking on the camp stove.
