Sausage French Toast

Ingredients:

  • 1 (8 oz) package brown and serve sausages
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1/4 cup canola oil

Directions:

  1. Cut 8 slices of bread on the diagonal, about 1 thick.
  2. Cut a pocket in each.
  3. Place one slice cheese over 1 slice sausage and insert in pocket.
  4. Press together.
  5. Beat eggs, milk and sugar.
  6. Coat each sandwich with egg mixture.
  7. Cook in hot canola oil until browned.
  8. Serve with maple syrup, if desired.
