Sarah's Prize Winning Meatloaf

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
  • 3/4 cup oats (uncooked )
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt

Directions:

  1. Combine all indgredients and mix well.
  2. Press firmly into ungreased loaf pan.
  3. Bake in preheated oven (350 degrees) about 1 hour.
  4. Let stand 5 minutes before slicing.
  5. Makes 8 servings.
  6. Note: I like to put Piquant Sauce on top before baking.
  7. Piquant Sauce: 3 Tbsp.
  8. Brown sugar,1/4 c catsup, 1/4 tsp.
  9. Nutmeg 1 tsp.
  10. Dry mustard mix all together and spread over meatloaf before baking.
