Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Butter all of the bread slices and cut into cubes.
  2. Place in a buttered, 3-quart casserole dish.
  3. Scald milk over medium heat.
  4. Stir all other ingredients in warm milk, except sugar, raisins and nuts.
  5. Pour mixture over buttered bread cubes.
  6. Stir in raisins, nuts and brown sugar.
  7. Top with pats of butter.
  8. Place casserole dish in shallow pan of water.
  9. Bake at 350°F for 1 hour, or until lightly browned on top.
