Root Beer Bread

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup lard or shortening
  • 2 packages yeast , dissolved in 1/2cup warm water
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 2/3 cup molasses
  • 7 cups white flours

Directions:

  1. Heat root beer and shortening.
  2. Put in salt and molasses.
  3. Cool.
  4. Add yeast.
  5. Stir in flour.
  6. Knead and let rise twice.
  7. Bake at 350 to 375 degrees, for 30-40 minutes.
