Roasted Tomato and Serrano Chile Salsa

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Roast the tomatoes on a griddle until they blacken on all sides.
  2. Remove and set aside.
  3. Toast the garlic cloves until they soften.
  4. Meanwhile, toast the chiles until they brown on the sides.
  5. Place the garlic, chiles and a few tomatoes into a blender; blend until smooth, then add the rest of the tomatoes.
  6. Turn on the blender very briefly, leaving tomatoes with a rough texture.
  7. Remove the salsa from the blender, add the cilantro, and season with salt.
