  1. Sauté the onion in the grease, butter or oil.
  2. Stir in all the rest of the ingredients.
  3. Heat to a boil.
  4. Turn heat down to very low.
  5. Simmer until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed, approximately 8 to 10 minutes.
