Quick Pea Soup

Ingredients:

  • 1 15- oz. can peas, drained
  • 1 tsp. ham stock concentrate, omit for reduced salt diet or vegetarian
  • 1/8 tsp. black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp. onion powder

Directions:

  1. Pour peas into blender
  2. Use can to measure equal amount of water
  3. Pour half the water into a microwavable container, heat to boiling
  4. Dissolve ham stock, if used, in boiling water
  5. Pour hot water into blender with peas
  6. Add black pepper, garlic powder and onion powder
  7. Blend on medium high until smooth
  8. Add more water to desired consistency
  9. Pour into microwavable container
  10. Heat on high for two minutes, stir
  11. Heat on high for another two minutes, stir
  12. Heat on medium high for three minutes, stir
  13. Serve.
