Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Make the syrup: In a small saucepan, combine the strawberries, sugar and 1/2 cup water. Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce the heat to medium and simmer until thickened, about 20 minutes. Strain, return to the saucepan and reduce for 10 more minutes, or until the syrup is thick enough to coat a spoon. Chill until ready to serve.
  2. Make the floats: Mix 1 tablespoon strawberry syrup with 2 tablespoons gin in each glass; add 2 scoops ice cream, top with the soda and garnish with a strawberry.
