Ingredients:

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup vinegar
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 sliced onion (but good ) (optional)

Directions:

  1. Drain beets saving liquid.
  2. Add water to beet liquid to measure one cup.
  3. In a saucepan combine sugar, vinegar and cinnamon stick.
  4. Heat to boiling.
  5. Pour over beets.
  6. Cover and refrigerate at least twelve (12) hours.
