Ingredients:

  • 1-1/2 cups sugar
  • 3/4 cup vinegar
  • 2 cinnamon sticks

Directions:

  1. Drain beets reserving liquid in small saucepan.
  2. Add sugar, vinegar and cinnamon sticks to reserved liquid.
  3. Heat to boiling stirring constantly.
  4. Pour over beets then cool, cover and refrigerate at least 8 hours.
  5. To serve remove beets with slotted spoon.
