Peanut Butter Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teasoon vanilla
  • 1 1/4 cup sifted all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 tsp soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Directions:

  1. Throughly cream butter, peanut butter, sugar, egg, and vanilla.
  2. Sift together dry ingriedients; blend into creamed mixture.
  3. Shape in 1-inch balls; roll in granulated sugar.
  4. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
  5. Press 5 peanut halves atop each or crisscross with fork tines.
  6. Bake at 375 degress F. for 10 to 12 minutes.
  7. Cool slightly; remove from pan. Makes 4 dozen.
