Ingredients:

  • 1 lb chop meat
  • 1/2 lb butter
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 quart milk
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • onion powder , to taste

Directions:

  1. Pasta.
  2. Boil ziti according to directions on the box.
  3. Drain.
  4. Meat Sauce.
  5. Saute chop meat with onion powder breifly.
  6. Drain all the fat.
  7. Add 1/2 stick (2 oz.) of butter and continue to saute.
  8. Add salt, nutmeg, and cinnamon stick.
  9. Cook on low for 5 minutes.
  10. Remove cinammon stick.
  11. Mix in with tomato sauce.
  12. White Sauce.
  13. Melt 1 1/2 sticks (6 oz.) of butter with 1 teaspoons salt.
  14. Add the flour.
  15. Whip.
  16. Add the eggs and milk.
  17. Slowly whisk until thickened.
  18. Place 1/2 the ziti on teh bottom of a 9x11 pan.
  19. Add 1 tablespoons grated cheese on top of ziti.
  20. Put the all meat sauce on top of the ziti.
  21. Place remaining ziti on top of the meat sauce.
  22. Add 1 tablespoons grated cheese again.
  23. Then pour the white sauce on top, as last layer- cover all the pasta.
  24. Cover with alumminum foil.
