Ingredients:

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 5 tbsp butter

Directions:

  1. Combine dry ingredients in a bowl.
  2. Using a pastry blender, cut orange peel and butter into dry ingredients until crumbs form.
  3. Stir in orange juice and rind, mixing gently to form ball of dough.
  4. Knead on lightly floured board 10 times.
  5. Pat or roll to 1/2 inch thickness, then cut with floured, round 2-1/2 inch biscuit cutter.
  6. Place on greased baking sheet and bake at 425 for 12 to 14 minutes, until lightly browned.
  7. Serve warm.
