Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Sift flour, powder and salt together; cut in shortening. Cut in shortening. Add orange rind and milk. Stir quickly and knead lightly for a few seconds, using as little flour as possible (on the table). Roll 1/2 inch thick and cut with a floured cutter. Put rounds together in pairs with a cube of sugar dipped in 2 tbsp juice betgween. Place on greased bakng sheets; spread tops with powdered sugar moistened with remaining juice. Bake at 450 degrees for 15 minutes
