Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup. flour
  • 1/4 tbsp. salt
  • 2/3 cup. milk
  • 2 tbsps. oil
  • 1 egg

Directions:

  1. Sift flour and salt into a bowl.
  2. Add milk, oil, and egg; beat until smooth.
  3. Separate onion into rings.
  4. Dip each ring into batter; fry 2 to 3 minutes in 375 degree heated oil.
  5. Turn, drain and sprinkle with salt.

  9. When I worked at a local restaurant we did something very similar to this but we soaked the onions (in rings) over night in butter milk and then dredged them. It made them sweet and oh, so tasty. Thanks for another great recipe!
