One-Bowl Chocolate Cake

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup baking cocoa
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup hot water
  • frosting, of your choice
  • colored sprinkles , if desired (optional)

Directions:

  1. In a large bowl, combine dry ingredients.
  2. Stir in oil, buttermilk, and eggs.
  3. Add water and stir until combined.
  4. Pour into a greased 13x9x2-inch baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-38 minutes or until toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
  5. Cool completely.
  6. Frost as desired.
