Old Timey Clove Salad

Ingredients:

  • 1 package lemon gelatin
  • 1 scant cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp whole cloves
  • 1/2 cup nuts
  • 1/2 cup sliced olives
  • 1/2 cup pickle relish

Directions:

  1. Boil sugar, boiling water and cloves for 5 minutes then strain and pour over gelatin.
  2. Cool until it begins to gel.
  3. Stir in nuts, olives, relish and mandarin oranges.
  4. Chill until ready to serve.
