Ingredients:

  • 2/3 cup shortening
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar , packed
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup corn syrup
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 cups oatmeal
  • 1/4 cup pecans

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Cream shortening, sugar, corn syrup, and egg 1 minute with mixer til creamy.
  3. In separate bowl mix flour,baking powder and salt.
  4. Add to cream mixture.
  5. Stir in cranberries,oatmeal and pecans.
  6. Mix well.
  7. Drop by tablespoon until greased baking sheet.
  8. Bake 9-12 minutes or until golden.
