Ingredients:

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 cups flour

Directions:

  1. Cream sugar and butter.
  2. Add eggs.
  3. Add 3 1/2 cups flour
  4. Add addition flour if needed.
  5. Divide dough into 3 pieces.
  6. Roll into log shapes.
  7. Chill dough for 2 hours
  8. Cut off pieces to roll and shape into knots.
  9. Dip cookies in unbeaten egg whites.
  10. Then in sugar.
  11. Bake on Greased cookie sheet at 375 degrees.
  12. Watch carefully until golden brown.
