My grandma's Sugar and Spice Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup soft oleo
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 3/4 tsp ground cloves
  • 3/4 tsp ground ginger

Directions:

  1. Cream oleo, sugar.
  2. Add egg and molasses, mix well.
  3. Sift, flour, soda& salt.
  4. Add to sugar, oleo mixture.
  5. Add cinnamon, cloves and ginger.
  6. Drop by tsp on cookie sheet.
  7. Bake at 350 10-12 minutes.
  8. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
