Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Heat oven to 350F, lightly grease a loaf pan.
  2. Mix the dates, butter& boiling water, set aside& cool.
  3. When cooled mix in the beaten egg& sugar.
  4. Mix the flour, baking soda& salt together.
  5. Add dry ingredients to the batter.
  6. Add nuts and vanilla, blend well.
  7. Pour into the prepared loaf pan.
  8. Bake in 350F oven for 50-60 minutes or until a wooden skewer comes out clean when inserted in the center.
