Ingredients:

  • 2 cups ap flour
  • 1 cup buttermilk (if is not handy you can put 1 tbsp vinegar in a cup of reg. milk and let it stand 10 min.)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda

Directions:

  1. Pre heat oven at 350
  2. Into the flour put salt, soda and sift
  3. Mix in shortening pinching it with hands till about pea-sized pieces
  4. Add buttermilk and stir.
  5. Lift to well floured surface and knead just enough to get smooth and firm to handle
  6. Roll into a 1/2 inch thick circle
  7. Cut out into biscuit-size and place on pam-sprayed baking sheet
  8. Bake for 10 min or till golden brown.
