Mom's Banana Chocolate Chip Cake

Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup sour milk (add 1 1/2 tsp lemon juice to milk to sour)
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup oatmeal
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup nuts (optional)

Directions:

  1. In large bowl combine sugar, margarine and eggs, mix well.
  2. Stir in milk, bananas, vanilla and blend thoroughly.
  3. Stir in flour, soda and oats, mix well.
  4. Stir in chocolate chips (and nuts if using).
  5. Spread batter in greased 9 x 13 pan.
  6. Bake 30-35minutes at 350 degrees.
