Ingredients:

  • 2 1/2 lbs fresh yams, peeled and diced
  • 2 cups pecan halves
  • 1 1/2 cups maple syrup
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 2 tsp salt

Directions:

  1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Steam yams for ten minutes.
  3. Spread pecans on a baking sheet and toast in hot oven for 3-5 minutes, until fragrant.
  4. Combine all ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
  5. Pour mixture into a buttered casserole and bake in a hot oven until yams are tender.
