Directions:

  1. Prepare fettuccine according to package instructions.
  2. While fettuccine cooks, melt butter in large saucepan over medium heat. Add garlic and cook about 30 seconds. Stir in flour to blend. Gradually add milk, stirring with a whisk. Cook approximately 5 minutes or until mixture thickens, stirring constantly. Add 1 cup grated cheese, cream cheese and 1/2 tsp salt. Stir with a whisk until cheese melts. Toss sauce with hot pasta. Portion onto 4 plates. Sprinkle with remaining grated cheese and chopped parsley.
