Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup of bacon ends
  • 1/2 cup of finely diced onions
  • 8 cups of sliced okra
  • 2 16 oz cans tomatoes
  • 1 cup of water

Directions:

  1. In large skillet, fry bacon until crisp. Add onions and okra. Cook until okra is seared, stirring often. Add tomatoes and water, salt and pepper to taste. Bring to a boil, let simmer approximately 20 minutes until okra is tender. Makes 12 servings.
