Lit'l Smokies Hash Browns Bake

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups refrigerated southern style hash browns (1 lb. 4 oz. package)
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 (16 oz) package hillshire farm little smokies sausages
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper

Directions:

  1. 13Hash Brown Crust:.
  2. Preheat oven to 425º Fahrenheit.
  3. Press potatoes onto bottom and up sides of a 9” pie plate.
  4. Drizzle with 1/4 cup melted butter.
  5. Bake at 425ºFahrenheit for 20 to 25 minutes or until crust is lightly browned.
  6. While crust bake, prepare filling.
  7. Let crust cool slightly.
  8. Filling:.
  9. Reduce oven temperature to 350º Fahrenheit. Add 1 cup of cheese.
  10. Spoon into hash brown crust.
  11. Cut smokies in thirds and top with Hillshire Farm Lit'l Smokies®.
  12. Combine eggs, milk, salt, and pepper.
  13. Beat with a wire whisk.
  14. Pour over Lit’l Smokies™ and cheese.
  15. Top with additional cheese.
  16. Bake at 350º Fahrenheit for 25 to 30 minutes or until filling is set.
  17. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
