Lemon-Dill Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/2 tsp dill weed
  • 1/4 tsp thyme
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp lemon rind
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp parsley
  • pepper , to taste

Directions:

  1. In a saucepan, melt the butter over a medium heat.
  2. Once melted, add the flour, dill weed, thyme, and salt.
  3. Whisk ingredients together until well-mixed.
  4. Add chicken broth, and bring to a boil over medium to medium-high heat.
  5. Boil for a minute or two, then add the lemon rind, lemon juice, parsley, and pepper (if desired).
  6. Turn down the heat to about a medium heat, and allow the sauce to thicken slightly.
  7. Serve hot on chicken, roasted potatoes, or veggies - or whatever else you'd like.
