Ingredients:

  • 1 container whipped cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

  1. Mix Flour, Bread Crumbs, and Buttermilk in a large bowl.
  2. Cut tops off of jalopeno peppers and split vertically.
  3. Scrape seeds and membrane out of Jalopenos.
  4. Fill jalopenos with Whipped Cream Cheese. (I use a cake decorating bag for this !)
  5. Dip each Jalopeno in batter mixture, making sure to coat well.
  6. Deep fry in oil at 350 degrees until brown and crisp.
  7. Place on paper towel to drain excess oil.
  8. Serve while hot !
