Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. In your kettle...I mean...cauldron,saute the onion,celery,carrots,garlic(make sure the garlic does not brown), in the butter.
  2. Add the chicken breasts,and cook for about 8 minutes or so.
  3. Combine the flour,with the broth,and wine,stir until smooth.
  4. Add this concoction to the sauted vegetables,along with the cooked bacon.
  5. Bring to a boil,stirring,until thickened.
  6. Reduce heat,add the cream,peas,and said seasonings.
  7. Place in a greased baking dish,keep on the back of the store to keep warm,while making your biscuits.

  9. For your Stew Topper:
  10. Combine ,flour,baking powder,soda,and salt in a bowl.
  11. Cut in the cold butter,until crumbly(I like to add part of the reserved bacon drippings for part of the butter..but,you may do as you wish)
  12. Stir in the sour cream,parsley and sage.
  13. Drop mounds of this gooey mixture in even amounts over your warmed chicken .
  14. Bake in a 350 degree oven for about 30 minutes (or) until the biscuits are a nice golden brown in color and your stew is a bubbling,happily around the edges.
  15. ~As the youngsters gleefully go from door to door retrieving their next Dentist Appointment Treats...the Vintaged Trick or Treaters can set down...sink their fangs into this rib sticking stew.~
