Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Trim fat from meat.
  2. Cut into 4-6 serving size pieces.
  3. Pound with meat hammer until 1/4-1/2 thin and tenderized.
  4. Combine flour, salt, and black pepper.
  5. Rub mixture onto the steaks to thoroughly coat.
  6. Heat oil in large flat bottom skillet that has a lid.
  7. Add the meat and brown on both sides.
  8. Scatter the celery, mushrooms, and 3/4 of the scallions over the top.
  9. In a small bowl, combine the red wine, soy sauce, ginger, cinnamon, and cayenne.
  10. Pour over the meat & vegetables.
  11. Bring to a simmer.
  12. Simmer covered for 1 hour. (can be simmered an additional 30-45 minutes without adverse effects).
  13. Serve with pan sauce and vegetables poured over and sprinkled with remaining scallions.
