Hungarian Cabbage and Noodles Recipe

Hungarian Cabbage and Noodles

Ingredients:

  • 5 slices bacon
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 4 oz medium noodles, cooked
  • 1/2 cup sour cream

Directions:

  1. In a large skillet, cook bacon till crisp.
  2. Remove from skillet; drain and crumble.
  3. Stir sugar and salt into bacon drippings in skillet.
  4. Add cabbage; stir till cabbage is coated.
  5. Cook, covered, over medium heat till cabbage is tender about 10 minutes.
  6. Combine cabbage mixture,noodles, and bacon; put into 1 1/2 quart casserole.
  7. Cover and bake in a 325 degree oven for 45 minutes.
  8. Uncover; spoon sour cream over top.
  9. Sprinkle with paprika.
  10. Return to oven and bake for 5 minutes more.
