  1. Fry bacon until crisp and leave some of the fat in the pan
  2. Cook onions and bell pepper until softened in the fat
  3. Add cabbage and stir well .
  4. Pour in the tomatoes salt and black pepper
  5. Add cayenne if you want
  6. Let simmer about an hour or until cabbage is soft.
