Ingredients:

  • 14 medium apples
  • 1 cup water
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 tbsp. lemon juice
  • 3/4 tsp. cinnamon

Directions:

  1. Wash, quarter and core the apples. Place them in a large cooking pot, and add the water. Over medium heat, cook the apples until they are nearly soft. Add the sugar, lemon juice and cinnamon. Cook the mixture for a few minutes longer, then press it through a strainer and let it cool. Serve it warm or cold.
