High Braes Retreat Scalloped Potatoes

Ingredients:

  • 3 tbsp butter or 3 tbsp margarine
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 dash pepper
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1 tsp onion powder (optional)

Directions:

  1. Peel potatoes and thinly slice.
  2. Melt butter; add flour, salt and pepper; blend.
  3. Gradually add milk.
  4. Cook until smooth and thick, stirring constantly.
  5. Add potatoes and onion powder, cover.
  6. Simmer for 7 minutes.
  7. Pour into greased 8X12 inch glass baking dish.
  8. Bake uncovered in 350F oven until tender, about 1 hour.
