Grilled Flank Steak With Spicy Garlic Sauce

  2. Make 1/4 deep lengthwise cuts in steak, spacing them 1 apart, then crosswise, forming a crosshatch design.
  3. Place in shallow glass dish.
  4. Mix marinade. Pour over steak, rubbing ginger into cuts.
  5. Cover, chill overnight, turning a couple of times.
  6. Sauce:.
  7. Mix sauce ingredients in small bowl.
  8. Chill.

  10. Heat barbecue to hot.
  11. Grill steak about 7 minutes per side for medium rare. Transfer to platter.
  12. Let stand 10 minutes. Thinly slice across grain.
