Green Beans In Olive Oil

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 lb white onion
  • 9 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 3/4 tbsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 3/4 cup water

Directions:

  1. Cut both ends of beans.
  2. If beans are too long cut in half.
  3. Cube onions.
  4. Thickly slice tomatoes.
  5. Peel garlic cloves and cut into four.
  6. Sauté onions and tomatoes in olive oil for 4 minutes.
  7. Add beans, salt, garlic and sugar and sauté all until beans turn bright green.
  8. Add water then bring to boil and cook over medium to low heat for one hour.
