Grandma Paul's Caramel Corn

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 cups packed brown sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 8 quarts popped corn

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 200 degrees F.
  2. Over medium heat, combine first 4 ingredients and boil for 5 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat; stir in baking soda.
  4. Stir well.
  5. Pour over the popped corn.
  6. Stir to coat well.
  7. Bake in large roaster or pan for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
  8. Spread on waxed paper to dry.
