Ingredients:

  • 1 cup flour
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 3 tbsp cold margarine (cut in pieces)
  • 1/4 cup shortening
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp molasses
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Directions:

  1. Mix dry ingredients.
  2. Work in marg and shortening til crumbly. Set aside.
  3. Mix honey, molasses, water and vanilla.
  4. Mix slowly with dry ingredients.
  5. Form dough into a ball. Cover with plastic. Chill.
  6. Preheat oven to 350. Let dough sit 15 minutes Roll between waxed paper.
  7. Cut in 2 inch squares. Transfer to ungreased baking sheet. Prick dough. Bake 15 minutes Cool.
  8. Will keep one month in airtight container, or 6 months in freezer.
