Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup cornmeal
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup milk

Directions:

  1. Mix and sift dry ingredients.
  2. Add milk, egg, and shortening.
  3. Pour into a greased 8-in square pan.
  4. Bake at 350* for 25 minutes or until done.
